Man injured in Brittons Hill shooting

Police are investigating a shooting incident which left one man injured at Brittons New Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael on Friday night.

According to the Barbados Police Service, the incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. in the area of a business establishment. Initial investigations indicate that the man was confronted by a group of individuals and fled the area, but was pursued by the assailants who discharged several gunshots, injuring him.

The victim was transported by private vehicle to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
