For 25 years, the National Wellbeing & HIV Commission has stood at the forefront of Barbados’ fight against HIV championing awareness, prevention, education, support and hope.

Since its establishment in 2001 as the National HIV/AIDS Commission, the organisation has helped shape a stronger, more compassionate national response through partnerships, community outreach, behaviour change campaigns and support services for people living with HIV. From iconic public education initiatives to behind-the-scenes community support, the Commission has remained committed to reducing stigma, promoting healthier choices and improving lives across Barbados.

Today, the National Wellbeing & HIV Commission, continues to evolve through recognising that true wellbeing extends beyond healthcare to include emotional, social, financial and community wellness. As we celebrate 25 years of impact, we honour the people, partners and communities who have helped drive this journey towards a healthier, more informed and more inclusive Barbados.
