Foreday reveller charged with having firearm

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged Darron Denico Austin, 23, of Glebe Land, St George for firearm and drug related offences. 

These offences were committed on Saturday, August 5, whilst at Hincks Street, St Michael.

He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of two rounds of ammunition and unlawful possession of cannabis. 

Around 4 a.m. during the hosting of the Foreday Morning Jam, police officers on duty, received certain information in relation to Austin.

Acting on information received, police stopped and searched Austin who was jumping in a band. He was arrested and later charged with the offences.

Austin is expected to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 8. (PR)
