THE TRAVELLING PUBLIC is asked to note that a number of temporary traffic changes will be in place over the weekend to facilitate the hosting of Bridgetown Market along the Spring Garden Highway, St Michael.Â
Between 10 a.m. on Saturday and 2 a.m. on Sunday, the Spring Garden Highway from its junction with Holborn Circle to its junction with Brighton Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic except those vehicles used by members of the Festival Committee.Â
During that time no person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:
(a) Â Brighton Road from its junction with Black Rock Main Road to its junction with Spring Garden Highway;
(b) Â Black Rock Main Road from its junction with University Drive to its junction with Eagle Hall;
(c) Â Deacons Farm Road from its junction with Deacons Road to its junction with Brighton Road;
(d) Â Deacons Road or
(e) Â Westbury Road.
No person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary along the emergency route or alternate route except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.      Â
The Emergency route commences at Spring Garden Highway and proceeds along Exmouth Gap, Westbury Road, Passage Road, Country Road, Roebuck Street, Halls Road and Martindale’s Road.Â
The alternate route commences Exmouth Gap and proceeds along Westbury Road, President Kennedy Drive, Fontabelle, Cheapside, Broad Street, Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge, Fairchild Street, River Road and Martindale’s Road. (PR/NB)
