Traffic changes for Foreday Morning

THE TRAVELLING PUBLIC is asked to note that a number of temporary road changes will be in place to facilitate the hosting of the Foreday Morning Jam on Friday.

Between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, Spring Garden Highway from its junction with Holborn Circle to its junction with the Frank Worrell Roundabout will be closed to all vehicular traffic except vehicles used by the Festival Committee.

During the same hours, Brighton from its junction with Spring Garden Highway to its junction with Black Rock shall be a one-way street with traffic travelling in the direction of Black Rock.

While these restrictions are in place, people will not be allowed to park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:

Brighton, from its junction with Black Rock to its junction with Spring Garden Highway;

Black Rock, from its junction with University Drive to its junction with Eagle Hall;

Deacons Farm from its junction with Deacons Road to its junction with Brighton;

Deacons Road and Westbury Road.

Drivers should not park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary along the emergency route or alternate route except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.

The emergency route commences at Spring Garden Highway and proceeds along Exmouth Gap, Westbury Road, Passage Road, Country Road, Roebuck Street, Halls Road and Martindale’s Road, St Michael.

The alternate route commences at Exmouth Gap and proceeds along Westbury Road, President Kennedy Drive, Fontabelle, Cheapside, Broad Street, Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge, Fairchild Street, River Road and Martindale’s Road, St Michael. (PR)
