LADY COUGARS are keeping pace with Pinelands.

Toni Atherley dropped a season-high 36 points, including six during a decisive 15-4 finish to the game, as Cougars outlasted Fusionz Boutique Lady Cavs 63-58 on Saturday in the No. 1 Beauty Supplies and Beauty Exchange Women’s Basketball League at the Barbados Community College.

It was the fifth win in six games this season for Cougars, who moved a game and a half back of the unbeaten Pinelands (7-0) for the league lead.

The result also gave Cougars the head-to-head tiebreaker over Station Hill in the event that the two teams end up with the same record this season. (JM)
