JULY 29, 2007 will forever live as a day of sadness for Barbados.
On that day, six people lost their lives following the crash of a Barbados Transport Co-Operative Society coach along Joe’s River, St Joseph.
It is a day Laura Galt, the food and beverage manager for Paul’s Enterprises, will never forget as she is one of the survivors of the tragedy.
Speaking to the WEEKEND NATION almost ten years to the day, she spoke of how a day of fun quickly turned into a national tragedy.
“That morning was supposed to be a fun one. The week in front we had catered Soca on de Hill and a Mount Gay representative said they had a package available for Party Monarch which a lot of the staff thought was a good idea.” (CA)
