Garner signs off

JOEL GARNER has bowled his last ball as president of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).

And it was a beauty that was given a nod of approval from spectators.

Presiding over the body’s annual general meeting for the final time last Thursday night at the Radisson Aquatica Resort, Garner used his closing remarks to thank members for the opportunity to serve, told them what inspired him to stand for the presidency and promised to make himself available to assist in the future.

On completing his statement, close to 200 members applauded the outstanding former Barbados and West Indies fast bowler who was first elected as BCA president in 2007. (HG)
