A MAJOR RIFT has erupted between Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and the head of the Private Sector Association (BPSA) Charles Herbert.
A contentious letter written by Herbert on Friday, July 14, warning Stuart of “social unrest” in the country is at the centre of the fracture.
In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by the SUNDAY SUN, the BPSA chairman told the Prime Minister that he was “not satisfied” that the administration had engaged enough with the business community and other social partners on the state of the economy.
“I am disappointed that up to the time of writing, you have been unable to schedule a meeting with the Social Partners to avert social unrest,” Herbert told Stuart. (GE)
