Young people attending the launch the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation $20 Challenge 15th Cycle were encouraged to see setbacks and changes as stepping stones in their journeys as young entrepreneurs.
The call comes from Director of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation David Simpson, during the official ceremony to launch the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation $20 Challenge at Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael this morning.
About 123 students from 17 participating schools are involved in the challenge this year under the theme “Vision to Venture”.
“You may need to change your price, improve your presentation, your packaging or simply go back to the drawing board and start from scratch.
That is not failure, that is improvement that is process. These experiences are valuable, they give you information that you could never gain by planning alone. Take your preparation seriously and be willing to begin. Listen carefully to the feedback you will get from your mentors, your teachers, the volunteers” says Simpson.
He also encouraged the young people to build a reputation they can be proud of. (AJ)
