The body found floating off Needham’s Point, St Michael, was identified as that of Zavier Morris.
The 20-year-old of Parish Land, Christ Church, was reported missing by his family, last seen at Parris Gap, Westbury Road, on December 4.
Relatives viewed the body at the mortuary of the Two Sons Funeral Home yesterday.
Around 10:05 a.m., police were alerted to a call from a captain who reported seeing a man’s body floating in the sea off the coast near the Hilton Hotel. The Barbados Coast Guard was informed and Morris was retrieved about 300 metres off St Ann’s Fort.
He was brought ashore at the Coast Guard Headquarters.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that may assist with the investigation to contact Hastings Police station at 4307612, police emergency at 211 or any other police station. (PR/SAT)
