Foundation, Stars excel

ATHLETES from Christ Church Foundation and Rising Stars endured varying fortunes at the Flying Angels International Classic in Toronto, Canada last weekend.

Based on results forwarded to MIDWEEK SPORT, Foundation won 28 medals, comprising 10 gold, 10 silver and eight bronze while Rising Stars gained 19 medals, including nine gold, four silver and six bronze.

Foundation’s field competitor Justin Adams-Yearwood was a double gold medallist in the 15-17 Boys’ shot put (15.58 metres) and discus (38.50) while Nathan Crawford-Wallis won the high jump with a leap of 1.60 metres. He was also second in the discus with a distance of 35.54 metres.

Six-footer Crawford-Wallis, with a distance of 6.21 metres, also captured a silver medal in the long jump, won by Rising Stars’ Dario King (6.45 metres). (EZS)
