BLP promises constituency day

THE BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY’S Rubbing Shoulders programme will morph into a constituency day if the party assumes the reins of power.

Opposition Leader Mia Mottley made this promise during the final Rubbing Shoulders campaign in St Philip North yesterday. The campaign will take a break during the Crop Over festivities.

Speaking in support of Barbados Labour Party candidate Dr Sonia Browne, Mottley said: “We will need to have a constituency day because governments don’t only function from the advice of technocrats and ministries or sectoral entities and partners but also from listening and interacting with ordinary people.” (HLE)
