Police name victim of fatal accident

POLICE ARE HAVE identified the woman who died along Westmoreland, St James this morning as 61-year-old Mary Downes, a resident of the area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that two trucks collided and one struck Downes who was standing at the side of the road.

She died at the scene.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1701. (PR/NB)
