THE POTHOLES ARE back!

Just six months after Government and the private sector embarked on a $1 million pothole-patching project to repair the island’s damaged roads, the hazardous and nightmarish holes have returned to haunt motorists.

That million-dollar initiative was to be followed by a $4 million mill and pave programme, which was expected to strengthen roads and prevent corrosion.

But following heavy rainfall towards the end of June and early July, several of the island’s roads already have gaping holes. (RB)
