BARBADOS won seven medals, including three gold, on the third day of the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation’s Championships (CCAN) in Trinidad on Friday night.
Danielle Titus claimed gold in the girls’ 13-14 100 metres in a time of 1 minute, 07:21 seconds, while Jack Kirby won the same event for the 15-17 boys in 58.12 seconds.
The other gold medal came from Christopher Courtis in the boys’ 18 and over 100 metres backstroke. His winning time was 57.14 seconds.
Nkosi Dunwoody, who broke a national record in his gold medal performance in the boys’ 13-14 200 metres breaststroke on Thursday, took silver in the 400 metres individual medley in a time of 4:50:97.
Olympian Lani Cabrera won bronze in the girls’ 18 and over 200 metres freestyle in a time of 2:10:75 and Barbados also took third places through girls’ teams in the relays. (HG)
