Oberoi takes Creole Classic

OBEROI, ridden by Rasheed Hughes, gave an awesome rebound performance to capture the 42nd running of the Pinnacle Feeds Midsummer Creole Classic over 1 800 metres on a firm track at the Garrison Savannah yesterday.

Oberoi’s victory in the Triple Crown’s second Jewel made an emphatic statement ahead of the upcoming Barbados Derby. peter-odle-kissing-oberoi

The Peter Odle-owned colt added to her family success in this event following in the footsteps of her mother Leave It To Me, who took top honours in 2010.

Oberoi held a healthy position early behind warm favourite Fleurette and Legion.  (LY)
