Lawyer says cops must pay

IT’S A BLATANT ABUSE of police powers, says prominent criminal lawyer, Queen’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim.

He was describing the contents of a ten-second video that has gone viral on social media in which three police officers can be seen among some men lying on the ground.  dario-rico-stanton

One of them, apparently armed with a weapon, walks around to the side of one of the men and kicks him not once, but twice.

Yesterday, two men appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court charged with a number of offences against the officers connected with that same incident.

They are Romario Mitchell Quintyne, 22, of 122 Cordia Drive, Warner’s Park, Christ Church, and Dario Rico Stanton, 26, of Hart’s Gap, Christ Church. (TKS)
