Williams backs Rowe

MARK WILLIAMS was an underdog when he rose to political prominence as the Member of Parliament for St Michael North West in 1999.

Now 18 years later, he has taken under his wing the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) newest underdog, Neil Rowe, in the same riding.

Williams reminded Rowe yesterday that St Michael North West is no Democratic Labour Party stronghold, in spite of Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler easily winning the seat in 2008 and 2013.

Speaking at the Deacons Farm playing area in the heart of the constituency during the party’s latest rubbing shoulders event, Williams presented Rowe as the person best suited to carry the red BLP flag in the area. (BA)
