LIAT PILOTS ARE OFF the job, again.

Two months after the Leeward Islands Airline Pilots Association (LIALPA) and the regional carrier’s management met in an emergency meeting to avert a possible strike, pilots have taken industrial action.

In a press release yesterday, LIAT said during a meeting in Antigua yesterday LIALPA rejected its proposal to not only increase the salaries of pilots, but to also award retroactive pay.

As a result, the airline has advised passengers that there will be disruptions to its schedule. (RB)
