THE NATIONAL CULTURAL FOUNDATION’S heritage bus tour could soon become more than just a Crop Over event.

Chief executive officer of the Barbados Tourism Product Authority (BTPA), Dr Kerry Hall, said her organisation was looking to make the hugely popular once-a-year event a staple in the island’s tourism product.

However, she said the BTPA must first look to reduce the cost of the entertainment and cultural segment.

Hall was speaking yesterday to the DAILY NATION as hundreds participated in the 2017 Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Ltd/BTPA-sponsored bus tour entitled Bittersweet Stories Of Sugar Molasses Rum. (HLE)
