Three murder-accused remanded

THREE CHRIST CHURCH men charged in the death of a 19-year-old were all remanded to HMP Dodds when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Saturday.

They are 31-year-old vendor Undre Emerson Hassani Thompson, of Chancery Lane; Lamar Diego Akked Holder, a 29-year-old vendor of Pegwell Boggs and Shavar Theodore Ward, 28, of Hopewell Road.

They were all charged in the murder of Ajay Ricardo Smith between May 23 and 24.

The body of Smith was discovered on the hard courts near St Christopher Primary School. He had succumbed to gunshot injuries.

The trio was not required to plead to the indictable offence.

The matter has been transferred to District ‘B’ Court at Oistins where they are scheduled to appear on June 6. (PR/SAT)
