Bail for BRA employee

AN EMPLOYEE of the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) was granted bail when she appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Karla Cherese Morris, 33, of Mount Friendship, St Michael, pleaded not guilty to charges of theft of $500 and falsifying an account in BRA’s Administrative and Accounting Computerised system.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on May 15.

Morris was granted $2 000 bail with one surety by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

She is also required to submit travel documents to the court and report to District ‘A’ Police Station before noon every Tuesday and Friday with valid identification. (PR/SAT)
