JEFF BROOMES is so keen on “taking cricket back to the people”, he has tossed his hat in the ring for the presidency of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).
Broomes, a former first and third vice-president of the BCA, told NATION SPORT he believes he is the man to usher in a new wave of thinking for King Cricket.
“I honestly don’t think that our cricket is going in the right direction. I think we have to take cricket back to the people. I do not think that we are not doing anything to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of our icons. We really have to do something about that.
“It wouldn’t be business as usual if I am elected as president. There are so many simple things that need to be done,” he said. (MK)
