IF YOU ARE still home, you have time to head down to Checker Hall, St Lucy.

On right now is the Mega Cavalcade put on by the National Cultural Foundation and HOTT 95.3 FM. So far it isn’t mega in terms of the crowd but the performing list was mega in terms of artistes who include Hypasounds, Marvay and Nikita.

The show started minutes after 7 p.m. with Daryll Jordan Secondary School Steel Orchestra. Up next was Altuh Ego and Holla Bak who tried to warm up the people.

The overcast sky sent some drizzles but not enough to force attendees to seek shelter.

With emcee Jamar the Starr calling on Jon Doe and DJ Tami some life could be seen in the still small but growing crowd.

Some of the vendors expressed disappointment in the size of the early crowd, saying many people didn’t want to drive to St Lucy.

This is the sole cavalcade on the NCF’s Crop Over Calendar and it will run until midnight. (NS)
