BICO putting supplier on ice

BICO ISN’T TASTING that Flavorite any more.

Seven years after outsourcing some of its production to Trinidadian company Flavorite Foods Ltd, Barbados’ largest ice cream producer is parting ways with the Trinidadian company.

BICO general manager Jo-anne Pooler confirmed to the WEEKEND NATION that the company was looking for an alternative production facility.

Flavorite was contracted to manufacture some of its brands after BICO’s manufacturing plant in Barbados was destroyed by fire in August of 2009.
