Family awaiting police probe

THE BEST FAMILY will play the waiting game.

Still extremely suspicious about the circumstances around which their loved one Corey Best died while in police custody last month, dad Eric and stepmother Cheryl Best say they will wait out the authorities’ investigation into the matter.

Speaking through their attorneys, the couple, who live in Long Island, New York, told the SUNDAY SUN they are eagerly awaiting the results of an internal police investigation, and of an autopsy on Corey’s body to be made public, before taking their next legal move.

The couple has hired attorneys Andrew Pilgrim, QC and Kristin Turton to look into all aspects of what occurred after Corey was taken into custody at the Oistins Police Station on April 13 this year. (BA)
