Concern over b-ball break

IT’S WAIT and see for much of basketball’s top flight.

Several Co-operators General Insurance Premier League head coaches are still unsure just how much the six-week break will affect their teams but are hoping the players don’t return to the floor with too much rust.

Many of the league’s signal callers expressed the sentiment while waiting for the top flight to resume following the completion of exams at the Barbados Community College (BCC) on June 3.

“I didn’t pick up that there was such a long break and now I have a problem with practice and getting players to come out because now they feel like this is a vacation,” said Orange 3 Pinelands’ champion coach Renaldo Maughn. (JM)
