NEW DEMOCRATIC LABOUR Party candidate for The City, Henderson Williams, said he had been working in the constituency long before being named a candidate.

Speaking earlier this week, Williams, a businessman and director of the City Development Foundation, said there was no excuse for not helping others, whether or not one’s party was in power.

“I think this is a golden opportunity to assist The City. Over the past few years, people of The City have indicated a certain level of dissatisfaction and we are going to fix that.

“However, saying things like you can’t do anything because your Government is not in power is a cop-out to me and holds no water in my assessment.
