THE SUPER TEAM may now be showing the strength of its combined powers.

Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics are starting to live up to the tags of preseason favourites, having won their third straight game via Saturday’s 64-50 rout of Burger King Clapham Bulls in the Co-operators General Insurance Premier League at the Barbados Community College.

It was the second victory over Clapham in that three-game span for the resurgent Sonics, who looked anything but league favourites while coming out on the wrong end of successive blowouts.

The result also put St John’s two games ahead of Bulls for the fourth and final playoff spot while giving Sonics the crucial tiebreaker over Clapham due to the season sweep. (JM)
