A ROUTE TAXI DRIVER and one from the Transport Board will “face off” in a Bridgetown court next Wednesday in a case the magistrate compared to a “Western showdown” where a “sheriff had to intervene”.

Public service vehicle operator Tony Glenroy Alleyne, 32, of Perfection Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, admitted yesterday he told Transport Board driver Elwyn Oxley: “Come out and I gine stab you up till you bleed out,”on April 2.

Prosecutor Station Sergeant Neville Reid told the District “A” Magistrates’ Court that both were travelling in the area of Sam Lord’s Castle, St Philip, when Oxley saw Alleyne push his head through the route taxi’s window and cursed him.

Alleyne took a picture of Oxley with his cellphone and told him he would use it to report him. (TKS)
