HAT-TRICKS by Devan McCartney and Andre Walcott were among the outstanding performances at the recent joint event for horsepower and pedal-power at Bushy Park.
An initiative of Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc., in association with the Barbados Association of Dragsters Drifters and the Barbados Cycling Union, it was the first-ever event bringing together the three clubs.
McCartney, at the wheel of a Honda CRX, qualified on pole position for Group 1/Class 2, ahead of Derek Edwards in a BMW 318ti Compact and class champion for the past two years, Adrian Bailey, in a Peugeot 205.
Walcott, driving a Suzuki Swift, was the fastest in Group/Class 1, qualifying ahead of William Jones, who turned out in a Datsun B310. (TT)
