No sexual harassment laws, says Gollop

AS WOMEN DECRY cat calls and other forms of sexual harassment by men, a senior attorney has reiterated that there are no sexual harassment laws on the island’s statute books.

Queen’s Counsel Hal Gollop made the point as he weighed in on the discussion led by Life In Leggings director Ronelle King and assistant director Luci Hammans on Starcom Network’s Sunday Brasshal-gollop Tacks

His comments came in the wake of King and Hammans, as well as a number of women, including one who revealed she was a fully covered Muslim, speaking about incidents of harassment.

“This Life In Leggings initiative has got to be discussed because you have got to be careful that we push the debate or the demonstration to the point where you do not have the protection of the law,” Gollop told listeners. (HLE)
