THE FATHER who rescued his three children from an abusive environment two years ago and took them to England has again lashed out at authorities in Barbados for being slow to act.
Alvin Taitt is furious over what he considers as the failure of the Ministry of Education, the police and the Child Care Board, to deal effectively with a general worker at a primary school who had befriended his daughter from the time she was 12 years old and showered her with money and gifts.
Taitt said he made numerous complaints to the agencies about this “inappropriate” conduct, “but nobody take me on”.
The reason he is publicly venting is that the same man was ejected three weeks ago from a rural primary school for allegedly engaging in similar behaviour with another girl. (MB)
