THE OWNER OF MICROLIGHT FLIGHTS, Paul Nugent, is joining the campaign to raise $52 000 for two-year-old Daniel Best to get an urgent operation in Canada.
Daniel’s mother Tanya Best described the youngest of her three children as a playful and inquisitive boy who had an adventurous spirit. She said that Daniel began to have health problems shortly after he was born.
She told the DAILY NATION: “He was diagnosed with asthma and stops breathing during his sleep. I have to stay awake during the night to make sure that he catches back his breath.
“He also has a problem swallowing food. Everything he eats has to be puréed or the food goes straight to his lungs. His condition has not been determined as yet and that is why he needs to go overseas to get a definitive diagnosis.” (SB)
