THERE WAS NO SHORTAGE of talent – and support – at the annual Schools’ Music Festival held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Sunday.
The Ministry of Education might have to think of a larger venue in future as there was insufficient seating for the hundreds who showed up after the 4 p.m. start time.
Those who had the stamina to sit and stand through the 42 performances in the seven-hour show were able to witness many of the vocal heavy-hitters from the Coleridge Parry (CP) Voices, St Angela’s, Mount Tabor, the Seventh-Day Adventist School, Combermere and the Alleyne School.
One of the most keenly contested categories was the Large Vocal Ensemble, which saw winners CP sing off against Harrison College (HC), Lodge, Combermere and Alleyne. (TG)
