THE Barbados Water Polo Club team will be hosting the second Darren Eastmond Barbados Invitational Tournament from today at the Aquatic Centre, Wildey.
The tournament, which ends on Sunday, will see the defending champions take on the visiting Lamar High School from Texas, United States, in the Under-18 men’s division, in what is expected to be a big contest.
The local girls are also expected to challenge the winners for the top spot with their full complement of women.
This tournament allows the CARIFTA team to have their last taste of competition ahead of the CARIFTA Water Polo Competition in the Bahamas next month.
National coach Ryan Forde said the members of the team have had a number of training sessions and he is confident that they can win both titles in this tournament. (RA)
