Bashment soca artiste Mole, whose song Breathe is still riding a wave of popularity following Crop Over, was in demand at Miami Carnival last weekend.

The young artiste (real name Reco Cumberbatch) and his team, which included producer Dutty Tallics, manager Sharon Carew-White and singer Brucelee Almightee, went to give carnival goers a taste of “The Mole Experience”.

“The first stop was last Friday at Nikki Beach where Mole and Bruce opened for Trinidadians Patrice Roberts and Nessa Preppy (Issa Snack). Barbadian Shaquille also performed,” said Carew-White.

“On Saturday, Mole performed at the Broward County Mall along with Motto, Shaquille, Farmer Nappy, Patrice, Mr Killa, Lavaman and V’ghn  and a host of others.

“He performed early to a lively crowd and later that day, he and DJ Hutchy performed at another event, comprising mostly Barbadians.”
Carew-White said Mole also jumped with the Bajan Forever Band.

He was among the Bajan line-up on that truck, along with artistes Brucelee Almightee, Faith and Shaquille and DJs Dooley Unruly, Hutchy and Blank.
“They were able to represent Barbados well . . . . It was really a wonderful and exciting carnival. There were many people from Barbados who were really enjoying the Miami Carnival vibe,” said the manager.

Mole is now in London and will be performing tomorrow night at Eclipse, being held at Lambeth Place. The young artiste returns home next week and then he will be off again in two weeks for New York to perform at a pre-Independence show slated for November 16.

Carew-White said the performances were “all made possible by Gemini Productions out of Trinidad, which has paved the way for Mole and his team to understand what it is like to perform to audiences at an international standard”. (GBM)
