OISTINS TOWN and its environs in Christ Church are in for major changes based on the draft amendment to the Physical Development Plan 2017.
This was revealed at the sixth and final town hall meeting to discuss the amendment held at Oistins Bay Gardens on Saturday.
Among the plans are a waterfront pedestrian walkway and relocation of the bus terminal to the inland side of Oistins main road to accommodate a new waterfront park and civic centre. The Berinda Cox Fish Market jetty is being considered as a facility to link Oistins to Bridgetown and other locations on the South and West Coasts by water.
Foundation School and Christ Church Parish Church would also be incorporated into key community spaces, while upgrades are on the cards for portions of Maxwell and Enterprise that form part of the Oistins Community Plan. (LK)
