Barbados’ creative young people were honoured yesterday.
The primary and secondary school students who took part in The Royal Commonwealth Society’s (RCS) Sir Elliott Belgrave Creative Communication Shield Competition were rewarded with certificates, prizes and shields at St Ann’s Fort, Garrison, St Michael.
Four primary and five secondary schools participated in the competition held under the theme, Children Of The Commonwealth: Our Future.
Shaleah Edwards, of Elliott Belgrave Primary School in St Peter, and Krishon Hurdle (at left), of Christ Church Foundation School, emerged victorious.
The two received their shields from Governor General Dame Sandra Mason.
The RCS launched the inaugural competition in April 2018. (CA)
