THE VENDORS WAITING to get their goods released from the customs department have been assured they will be able to do so tomorrow.
Minister of Small Business Donville Inniss who intervened in the matter, said it was a case where customs had been accommodating but now the requirements were clear.
He advised customs brokers to better inform their clients about such changes.
He said everyone concerned could now move forward with a common understanding after a meeting at the Grantley Adams International Airport today.
Inniss said the vendors could now resubmit their documents and, once everything was in order, should be good to collect by tomorrow morning.
Approximately 15 small business people had been coming to the airport daily since Thursday.
They charged customs had implemented new requirements on short notice, thus barring them from being able to clear their goods. (CA)
