SOME BARBADOS LIGHT & Power Company Ltd customers in St Andrew were without electricity for several hours.
In a release issued this afternoon, BL&P said the outage was caused when a tree in Chalky Mount fell across a high tension line, breaking two poles just after 11:30 last night.
“Most of the customers had their power restored before 3 a.m. A few customers in the immediate vicinity remained without power as Light & Power’s crews worked throughout the night and day to safely plant new poles and transfer the lines to restore power,” the company said.
All customers were restored by 3:08 p.m.
The Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd. apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked those affected for their patience. (PR/NB)
