Agrofest draws the crowds

DESPITE some challenges, things are looking good for
Agrofest 2017.

With the first two days of Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS) exhibition done and dusted, BAS chief executive officer James Paul said the attendance was better than expected.

In addition, Paul said yesterday’s turnout looked like it would trump last year’s. “I would say yesterday [Friday] went very well. We had a little issue in terms of the children coming down. But it seems they turned out well and better than we expected,” Paul said yesterday.

“Today, again I think it is turning out to be a very good day and as a matter
of fact I think it’s going to be an improvement on last year’s Saturday.” Reception had been quite good amongst Barbadians, he said. (AD)
