BARBADOS PRIDE are the WICB Super50 champions and Shai Hope is one of the major reasons for the triumph.

The Bajans clinched the title last night with victory over Jamaica Scorpions in the final at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua after another special century from the 23-year-old Hope.

After crafting his way to his 50, he was explosive over the second half-century, and his 101 off 98 balls helped Barbados Pride to a challenging 271 for nine from their 50 overs.

Barbados Pride successfully defended the total, restricting their opponents to 212 in 44.3 over to win by 59 runs.
