BAN SMOKING in Barbados altogether.
Long-time anti-smoking advocate Dr Tony Gale (below) says while he acknowledged Government’s latest efforts to put a damper on the demand for tobacco products, the measures had not gone far enough.
He wants to see Government go all the way and impose an all-out ban on tobacco, which he said would force Barbadians to completely abandon the smoking habit.
Gale was hailed for his one-man crusade against smoking over the years by senator after senator during last week’s debate in the Upper Chamber on the Health Services Amendment Bill that was passed. It extends the smoking ban on cigarettes in public places to include e-cigarettes. (GC)
