UPDATE: Fire destroys homes at Gunsite

An octogenarian and five children are among those who lost their homes in a mid morning fire at Gunsite Road No. 1, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

Edgar Morris, 83 years, had to be rescued from his home after the blaze spread from the house next door.

The fire started around 11:03 a.m. at a house owned by the Urban Development Corporation and occupied by 27-year-old Melissa Archer, her five children and boyfriend.

Twelve fire officers and three tenders responded to the blaze.

Investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
