GOVERNMENT IS intensifying efforts to enhance Bridgetown and “its extremities”, Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley said yesterday.
He acknowledged that more needs to be doneso that the City and wider Barbados can exploitthe potentially large financial benefits in cultural tourism.
He was speaking in the House of Assembly yesterday as he moved a resolution to approve the vesting in the Barbados Jewish Community Inc. of land at Pinfold Street and Magazine Lane for the $14.5 million Synagogue Restoration Project.
While calling on more private sector entities to improve the city, the Christ Church West Central representative said Government “will play its part”. (SC)
