PURPLE HOUSE are the champions of St Silas Primary School.
Scoring 698 points at the end of the annual Inter House meet on Friday at the Bagatelle Playing Field in St Thomas, the athletes dominated from start to finish to claim victory over Orange House whose improved performance after the lunch break saw them moving from third to second.
They ended the day on 654 points, a mere eight points ahead of last year’s champs Blue House who scored 647 points.
The Blue House Rockets were 261 points at lunch while Purple House were 306 and Orange 254 after events such as the 100, 200, 400, 80 and 150 metres. There was also a fun relay which included athletes from the Under-9 to Under-11 divisions.

Both the girls and boys 4 x 100 metre and the fun relays were exciting and the children, teachers, parents and other relatives could not contain their excitement.
The victor ludorum is Setori Holder who garnered 37 points and the victrix ludorum is Jakara Phillips who gained 48 points. Both of them are from Purple House.
It was a good day for sports with dazzling sunshine and a nice wind to keep everyone cool. (GBM)
