Ticked off over watch snags

WHEN CHERYL BROOME-WEBSTER bought a $4 800 Bulgari watch from Diamonds International on Lower Broad Street in 2013, she was over the moon with glee.

However, almost four years later, the retired banker is rueing what she has described as “the worst purchase I ever made”.

Broome-Webster told the WEEKEND NATION that since purchasing the designer piece, she had encountered several issues with the watch.

She complained that while the watch strap was supposed to be leather, it was not, and had become discoloured, and that she had not received a Cartier cleaning kit, which she said was specifically for a bracelet watch and not a leather strap timepiece. (RB)
