Visitors on fraud charges remanded

TWO VISITORS charged with fraud were remanded to HMP Dodds when they appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court on Saturday.

Romanian national Constantin Ursu, 28, and Jamaican/Romanian Andre Harvey, 31, were allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of cash and ATM Cards on Wednesday by police who were acting on information received.

Ursa was charged with one count of money laundering, while Harvey was charged with two counts of money laundering and going equipped for criminal deception.

When they appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke, Harvey was remanded to reappear in the Holetown Magistrate Court on January 31, while both are scheduled to appear in the District ‘C’ Court on February 2. (PR/SAT)
